The Academic Planning and Quality Advancement Unit (APQA) provides advice and guidance in ensuring that all qualifications offered by Nelson Mandela University receive Programme Qualification Mix (PQM) Clearance from the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE) and registered with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). The unit further ensures that there is continuous improvement in the Nelson Mandela University learning programmes and the full range of support functions.
